Commissioned by the National Heritage BoardTwo ethereal jesters descend from a wooden crescent moon and explore the land. Dressed in plastics and painted like natives, these contemporary incarnations of Pierrot play in a series of teasing vignettes on themes of modernity and romance, combining movement and installation. With a whimsical old-time mood, this little reverie features gypsy-swing jazz duo So Ma Fan as live accompaniment. Audiences in urban nature witness a spirited interaction combining movement and installation as the jesters create meaning in the cosmos. Oomoonbeings is an original commission by the National Heritage Board for Singapore Night Festival 2013.

A reinvented Pierrot and Pierrette, the forlorn clown lovers of European yore, act as unlikely teachers, silently interacting and guiding seated audience through an enigmatic communal wish-making ritual amidst strangers, ending with the clowns entering a giant balloon to the moon. Wishmoon was part of Action Parties #3, a series of performance art happenings at Double O Art Gallery in 2012.
